Dr. Kanu Priya is a Professor of Law & Chairperson, Department of Law, Gurugram University, Haryana, and has worked at Manav Rachna University, and former Professor of Law & Associate Dean, School of Law at Sushant University, Gurgaon. She cleared her UGC-NET in year 2005.

Dr. Kanu Priya is a doctorate in Constitutional Law from Panjab University, Chandigarh with over 17 years of blended experience in academics, research and legal practice. With over 20 articles in national and international peer reviewed, UGC Care and Scopus indexed journals, she is on board as an advisory and editorial member of reputed peer reviewed legal journals. She is also the external examiner with Law Faculty, Delhi University. She has authored books in the areas of Immigration Laws and Real Estate published by Lexis-Nexis and Thomson Reuters. She is featured in the Board of Editors of NGT Reporter and has been the editor of the Conference proceedings of International Conference of Environment organized twice by National Green Tribunal in 2017-18. She is a member of various organizations like IUCN-CEESP, GRDS, etc. She is also a member, Court at Central University of Himachal Pradesh, Dharamshala. She has been honoured with Women Empowerment award by DSLSA and NDMC in 2019, Award of Honour by Maharaja Agrasen University for curriculum and pedagogy development in 2016.

Her expertise is widely sought as a Judge in various Moot Court Competitions, Resource Person in various National and International Conferences. She also served as an adjunct faculty with Dhaka International University, Bangladesh. She has been holding the academic administrative position from the last 7 years wherein she has actively introduced CBCS Curriculum to focus on outcome-based learning and industry specific courses. As an administrator, she has always been entrusted with the task of designing university level processes, grant approvals for important agendas, and participate in high level decision making. Adding to her administrative acumen, she has completed a certificate course on ‘Strategy Execution’ from Harvard Business School.
